We’ve created a new social media profile on Bluesky!
We are transitioning our primary social media presence to Bluesky in order to engage with and inform our membership and wider open data community. For now, we are continuing to support our X account, but will be decommissioning that in the near-term.
Our decision is largely informed by evidence we’ve seen about the rising popularity of Bluesky amongst the scientific community, which is our primary audience. One source of that is a recent poll conducted by Nature. For more context on Bluesky, you can read this Science article: “The scientific community finds a new home on Bluesky.”
